How much does a home humanoid robot cost?

Only four of the eleven home humanoids announced so far list a price. Here’s what each one asks, and what that number doesn’t cover.

As of October 28, 2026.

The prices on the table

When people ask me what one of these robots costs, the honest answer is that it depends on which one, and most makers won’t say yet. Of the eleven home humanoids in my registry, only four list a price 1. Two more have offered a number that isn’t a sale price.

Robot (maker)What it costsWhere it stands
NEO (1X, US)$20,000 to buy, or $499 a month; $200 refundable deposit 2Preorders; US deliveries start in 2026 2
UWORLD U1 (UBTech, China)From 119,800 yuan (Lite) and 169,800 yuan (Pro) to 880,000 or 990,000 yuan (Ultra) 34Small-batch deliveries since September 2026 4
Bumi (Noetix, China)9,998 yuan launch price 5Limited presale in China 5
onero H1 (SwitchBot)$9,999 listed 6“Coming Soon,” not orderable 6
SeeLight S1 (GigaAI, China)About $15,000, according to its CEO 7Store sales planned for June 2027 7
Memo (Sunday, US)No price; building one by hand costs about $20,000, the company says 8Taking beta applications 8

The rest have no public price, including Chery’s Mobo, which opened global preorders this month without saying what it will cost 9.

Buy it, subscribe, or book a visit

NEO shows the choice families will face. The $20,000 purchase comes with a three-year warranty, premium support and priority delivery. The $499 subscription comes with a “Starter Productivity Package” and standard delivery 2, and 1X said at launch that subscription units would ship later 10.

Simple arithmetic: $499 a month is $5,988 a year, so it takes just over 40 months of payments to pass the purchase price. But the order page doesn’t say how long the subscription runs or what happens when it ends 2, so treat that number as a comparison, not a verdict.

A third option skips ownership. Gatsby, a San Francisco service that sends humanoid robots to clean apartments, charges a flat $150 per clean and says harder tasks can be handled by a remote human operator 11.

What the sticker price leaves out

Is it getting cheaper?

Yes, and faster than analysts expected. In February 2024 Goldman Sachs Research wrote that the cost of building a humanoid had fallen from an estimated $50,000–$250,000 to $30,000–$150,000, a 40% drop where it had expected 15–20% a year 13. Morgan Stanley, cited by the AP in June 2026, put the average humanoid price at $46,000 in 2025 and projects about $21,000 by 2050. It also says Chinese models are, on average, 20% or more cheaper than foreign ones 14.

A lower price will make the decision easier to afford, not easier to make. The real cost for a family is what we stop doing ourselves once the robot is doing it, and no price table shows that.
