Who is responsible

Hugo Alder, the pen name of the author of this site. Contact: hugo@hugoalder.com.

What we collect

Only your email address, and the language of the page you subscribed from.

What for

To send you the Observatory dispatch, every two weeks. Nothing else. Your address is never sold or shared.

Legal basis

Your consent. You can withdraw it at any time by replying “unsubscribe” to any dispatch or by writing to hugo@hugoalder.com.

Where it is kept

The subscription form is handled by Netlify, Inc. (United States), the company that hosts this site, acting as a data processor. Dispatches are sent from Google Workspace.

How long

Until you unsubscribe. Then your address is deleted.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, object to its use, restrict it, or take it with you, by writing to hugo@hugoalder.com. If you live in the EU, you can also complain to your data protection authority (in Spain, the AEPD: aepd.es).

The test

If you take the test, we save your answers and your result, without your name or your email, to publish overall statistics (for example, “40% would hand over the homework”). Netlify, which hosts this site, records technical data with each submission, such as the IP address and the browser, to filter spam; we don’t use it. If you don’t want your answers saved, tick “Don’t save my answers” before you start.

Cookies and visit counts

This site uses no cookies. To count visits we use GoatCounter, a privacy-friendly analytics service that uses no cookies and stores no personal data or unique identifiers. It records only the page viewed, the referring site, the browser, the screen size and the country.
