The task list is a home’s: the sofa, the desk, the trash, and then checking that nothing was missed.

On November 3, Xiaomi said its embodied AI model has begun a trial run in a Xiaomi Youth Apartment, according to the company’s “Xiaomi Technology” (小米技术) official account, as reported by IT之家 1. In the validation run, an agent system built on the Xiaomi-Robotics-1 pretrained model worked continuously for more than 30 minutes, across three rooms and more than 50 tasks: preparing tools, tidying the sofa and the desk, clearing trash, putting items back in their places, checking the rooms, rechecking the whole home and leaving 1 2.
Xiaomi says Xiaomi-Robotics-1 was pretrained on 100,000 hours of real manipulation trajectories 1. The same announcement says a Xiaomi humanoid robot attempted an 8-hour task for the first time, at the station that sorts side panels for the center console in its car factory, correcting anomalies on its own; Xiaomi calls it a preliminary validation 1. Xiaomi’s robotics business received the Leading Technology Award at the 2026 World Internet Conference in Wuzhen 1.
The reports do not say which robot body did the work in the apartment or whether anyone helped remotely, and they mention no product, price or date for homes 1 2.
What it means for a family. Folding one shirt is a demo. Half an hour, three rooms and more than fifty tasks in a row is closer to what a home asks for. That is the robot The Tireless Parent is about: not one that performs a trick, but one that keeps going. Our Home Humanoid Registry tracks which humanoids have actually reached buyers.
